The Adventure Continues

Wow! It's hard to believe it's been over a month since I last posted. It has been a very busy time for us though. My niece was supposed to be with us all summer, and she only got to stay ten days, so they were a verrrrrrrry full ten days. Then we began renovations on our rental house and swapped houses with our renters. We are now living "in the country" again and are thrilled to be here. God has blessed us with being able to improve vastly on this space, and we are LOVING being here.

In the middle of our cleaning, painting, carpeting, packing, and moving, Smiley Boy had surgery on Thursday to close the feeding tube site. The tube came out nine weeks ago, and right up to the day of surgery, it was still leaking and very painful to him. Praise God, the surgery went smoothly, and he is just itching a little now where the stitches are.

To make all of this much more interesting, we found out five weeks ago that Smiley Boy will become a big brother at the end of January. We are absolutely thrilled! I haven't been feeling too great though and have NO energy whatsoever, so this move has been particularly challenging. God is faithful, though, and my mom has been a lifesaver with her incredible ability to clean and organize. As I write this, she is in the garage working on all the stuff we haven't brought into the house yet.

We haven't announced our pregnancy yet. Today is the official announcement day. I'm glad we're finally telling, but it's been kind of nice to just have our little secret for a few weeks.

Well, now that we're settled in, I hope to be able to write a little more often.
